Christmas Madness is almost over...

We are 3 Christmas gatherings down and only 2 to go! Conner already has way too many toys and has ate way too much junk food! I think we are both ready to go back to our regular schedules. Tonight is my final night covering overnights for a co-worker. I am very excited her surgery went well and she will be back to work next week! I start my new job next week down at Lucas County! I really like being an ER tech but can't wait to be back on the ambulance again! My appointment with my nephrologist went well this week.. He thinks he can drain the cyst causing problems but isn't sure how much relief it will give me. I figure anything is better than nothing! The new experimental drug is still being postponed until we take care of the Pheo. He says that since the Coreg is finally keeping my BP and HR under control he really doesn't want to start a new drug and shake things up. I understand but the idea of slowing the progression of PKD is important to me and I would like to get the ball rolling as soon as possible. He is scheduling another MIBG scan to try and locate the Pheo... We are hoping to do it in the next week or so. He said he will try to drain the cyst at the same time to save me a trip to Des Moines. I hope to hear from the office today for the official dates of the procedures. Other than that no news to report. I have been feeling great, aside from being sleep deprived from all the night shifts I have picked up the last 8 weeks! Hope everyone had a safe and happy holiday season!
